Galle Day Tour

Galle Day Tour

The tour typically starts in the morning with a pick-up from your hotel in Colombo or Negombo, after which you'll embark on a scenic drive to Galle.

Upon arrival in Galle, you will visit the iconic Galle Fort, which was built by the Portuguese in the 16th century and later expanded by the Dutch. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a fascinating place to explore, with its charming colonial architecture, narrow streets, and historic ramparts that offer breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean.
After exploring the fort, you'll head to one of Sri Lanka's most beautiful and unspoilt beaches, located in the nearby jungle. This beach is surrounded by lush vegetation and has crystal clear waters that are perfect for swimming and snorkelling. You'll have plenty of time to relax on the beach and soak up the sun, or take a walk along the shore and explore the surrounding jungle.
After your visit to the Jungle beach, you'll head to the Madu Ganga mangrove forest for a boat safari.

This is a wonderful opportunity to see some of Sri Lanka's most stunning natural scenery, including mangrove forests, small islands, and a variety of bird and animal species.
Next, you'll visit the turtle conservation project in Kosgoda, which is dedicated to protecting Sri Lanka's sea turtle population. Here, you'll learn about the different species of sea turtles, their life cycle, and the challenges they face in the wild. You'll also have the chance to see baby turtles up close and even release them into the sea.

Finally, after a full day of sightseeing, you'll make your way back to Colombo or Negombo, where you'll be dropped off at your hotel.
