Sinharaja Rainforest is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in the southwest region of Sri Lanka. The Sinharaja Rainforest is a tropical rainforest which is home to a vast array of flora and fauna, including many endemic species. The rainforest is a popular destination for visitors who want to experience the beauty and biodiversity of Sri Lanka.
This is a tour that starts with a pick-up from your hotel in Colombo or Negombo and takes you to Sinharaja Rainforest. The journey takes about 4 hours depending on traffic.
The tour then involves a 2-3 hour trek through the lush rainforest, accompanied by the local guide. During the trek, you will have the opportunity to spot a wide variety of birds, reptiles, amphibians, and primates, including the purple-faced langur. The pace of the trek will depend on the group’s preference.
After the trek, you will enjoy a packed lunch at a scenic spot within the rainforest. Following this, the tour continues with a walk to a nearby waterfall where you can relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery before heading back to the starting point.
