Embark on a thrilling day safari in Yala, Sri Lanka’s leopard‑rich national park.
Located about 240 km from Colombo, Yala National Park is Sri Lanka’s most famous wildlife sanctuary and home to the world’s highest density of leopards. The park’s diverse habitats—forests, grasslands, lagoons, and coastline—make every safari unique. Alongside leopards, visitors can spot elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles, wild boars, water buffalo, and over 215 bird species, including seven endemics.
The park closes briefly in September for leopard breeding season, ensuring conservation and sustainability. From November to March, Yala also becomes a haven for migratory birds such as the Indian Pitta, Blue‑tailed Bee‑eater, and Osprey.
